This course introduces students to concepts of film music composition, storytelling through music and application of film scoring techniques. It will introduce various stages of the process of creating original music for film. The course will also cover analysis of scores, topics on history of film, interviews with famous film composers, instrumentation, orchestration, and compositional techniques, as well as application of those to music for film. The course will include lectures, projects, and assignments.
