Introduction

This certificate is offered for students or professionals who want to get a head start on their academic career without the commitment of a full graduate program. By completing this certificate and meeting the criteria described in the Degree Requirements tab, you may apply to the Denver Flex/Online MBA program without a GMAT score.

It is designed to give you a focused business background and update your skillset quickly. You'll earn college credit for each course you successfully complete and a CU Denver certificate upon completion of three courses. Flexible schedules cater to working professionals looking for a part-time option. Courses are eight weeks long.

General Business Certificate (9 credits):

• Requires a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and a grade of C or higher (not a C-) in each course.
• Students who complete this certificate with a 3.5+ cumulative GPA (repeats of courses not allowed) and a grade of B+ or higher in BUSN 6550 may apply to the Denver Flex/Online MBA without the GMAT.

Complete all 3 of the following:

• BUSN 6520 Leading Individuals and Teams
• BUSN 6550 Analyzing and Interpreting Accounting Information          
• Business School Graduate Course at the 6000-level (3 credits)
