FaM Inclusive Leadership

Introduction

The Inclusive Leadership Microcredential (ILM) is a non-credit, year-long academic and social learning experience that prepares students to become inclusive leaders. Students participate in two workshops: Global Inclusive Leadership (Fall) and Management/Leadership Skills with a focus on Emotional Intelligence (Spring). After receiving a case scenario co-designed by employer partners, students collaborate in small teams on their own time to collaboratively build a group presentation for the case competition. Students then engage in a full-day Inclusive Leadership Case Competition (Spring). Through training and applied practice, students develop skills in inclusive leadership, emotional intelligence, teamwork, and professional communication. Badge earners demonstrate the ability to recognize and mitigate bias, empower teams, foster belonging, and apply inclusive decision-making strategies in real-world scenarios.
