Non-degree Seeking Students
A student who wishes to take graduate courses, but is not interested in earning a specific advanced degree, may apply as a non-degree student at: https://ucdenver.edu/graduate-programs/prospective-students.
Non-degree students will be allowed to register only on the campus to which they have been admitted.
Non-degree students who later desire to pursue a graduate degree program at this university are encouraged to submit the complete online graduate application and supporting credentials as soon as possible. Credits earned as a non-degree student at the University of Colorado may, at the discretion of the department to which the student is admitted, be transferred into a degree program. The maximum amount of credits allowed for transfer is 12 semester hours for the master’s degree, 9 hours for the EdD program, and 30 hours for PhD degrees. These limit totals include both non-degree CU credits and those transferred from other institutions.
