MATH 5674 - Parallel Computing and Architectures


Infrequent. Examines a range of topics involved in using parallel operations to improve computational performance. Parallel architectures, parallel algorithms, parallel programming languages, interconnection networks, and their relation to specific computer architectures. Prereq: Graduate standing in Applied Mathematics or permission of the instructor. Note: This course assumes that students have the equivalent of a course in numerical analysis (e.g., MATH 4650).
