MATH 3000 - Introduction to Abstract Mathematics


Students learn to prove and critique proofs of theorems by studying elementary topics in abstract mathematics, including logic, sets, functions, equivalence relations and elementary combinatorics. Coreq: MATH 2421 or MATH 3191. Note: This course assumes that students have taken MATH 2411 or equivalent. Students who have a grade of B- or better in MATH 2411 pass at a much higher rate.
